Samsung has recently come up with their R1 and R0 models of portable media players, which are already causing a stir in the market. These new models are loaded with lot of cool stuffs, some of them absolutely unique to Samsung, owing to which they are literally flying off the shelf.
The R1 has a 2.4” wide TFT LCD display, with touch screen facility for navigation. You can change songs, play videos, browse thorough the library all with just a swipe of your finger. It is best suited for long journeys, as the R1 robustly boasts of 50 odd hours of audio playback, and nonstop four hours of video.
The R0 comes with a 2.6” LCD display, and tactile keys for navigation. It comes in 8GB and 16 GB models, both of which can offer audio playback for 30 hours without recharge. Both the R1 and R0 support a wide range of music as well as video files, without any conversion, and are extremely versatile. The price of these players ranges between $99.99 – $179.99 depending upon their memory and model.
