Recently the world class media storage company WD unveiled its latest offering, Solid State Drives meant for Laptops and PCs. These SSD will be called the WD Silicon Edge Blue SSD.
These Rugged SSDs provides maximum storage capacity ranging from 64 GB to 256 GB, but that is not what they will be famous for. The real catch is that they come with a feature, which enables the remote computer or laptop to read from the WD Silicon Edge Blue SSD at a speed of 250 MB per second, and write data on the SSD at the speed of 170 MB per second.
This potentially means that you will be able to transfer bulk file of numerous gigabytes onto your WD Silicon Edge Blue SSD in a matter of a few seconds. These SSD’s are priced between Rs.16500 to Rs.58250 depending upon their model.
