At the recent CompuTex 2010, Holux has announced the launch of its latest handheld GPS receiver called GPSport 260. This latest gadget sports 1.5 inches of display screen which shows real time statistics about your activities which can be stored as well as viewed in track or plot view. The device also functions as a GPS data logger which is capable of storing up to 160K way points. Other features of GPSport 260 which makes it an impressive gadget include barometric altimeter, 3D Compass and pedometer.
The 1050mAh rechargeable battery of the device can offer up to 20 hours of operation time. Holux GPSport 260 is also IPX7 waterproof which means that the device can be easily used underwater at the depth of 1 meter for about 30 minutes. Its Follow Course feature helps you to plan your trip before moving out on the way. The user can also share the waypoints in a different way with the gadget as it creates QR code image for coordinates.
