Currently Qualcomm is working with the companies like CARDIONET in order to come out with Piix Smart BandAid which is considered to offer the next generation ambulatory cardiac monitoring service which will be complete with beat to beat, automatic arrhythmia detection, real time analysis and wireless ECG transmission.
This bandaid will feature sensors which can be specifically modified in order to monitor a range of tasks as per requirements. This will allow an individual to get benefit from comprehensive suite of post symptom, auto trigger event monitors and looping considering it as the part of bigger turn key cardiac event monitoring eco system.
The wireless connectivity has come a long way and the Piix Smart BandAid is an example of the same. It is also expected that when Piix will be approved it will come with an affordable price tag so that large number of people can afford to get good medical care and attention.
