The HTC Wildfire S which is rumored to be an update to the original HTC Wildfire and offers key updates is supposed to be in the works by HTC. It is also reported that the handset is mainly targeted towards users who are opting for simple and yet attractive Smartphones that are affordable by everyone.
The Wildfire S which runs on Android 2.4 and is in a way similar to the HTC Nexus One has a 3.2 inch screen with 320×480 pixel resolution. The mobile is 4 inches in length and 2.5 inches wide and weighs a mere 3.7 ounces making it a perfect compact phone to fit in your pocket.
It also boasts a 3.2 inch touch screen display and includes such features as G sensor, Digital compass, Bluetooth v3.0, and Wi-Fi b/g/n. It also has a 512 MB of RAM.
Specifications for the Wildfire S include: 600 MHz processor; 5 mega pixel camera; MicroSD slot; and, a 3.5 mm headset jack. It also has a 1230 mAh battery. The processor and battery specifications seem to be diminutive compared to the Android Phone line, but the phone is targeted for everyone rather than being a multimedia powerhouse suitable for selected users.
