One manufacturer who has benefited the most from the Android segment in India is obviously Samsung mobiles. They have been immensely successful with the Galaxy Series of Smartphones and today boast of around 10 different Galaxy variants.
The most recent addition was the Galaxy Y which is without a doubt one of the hottest selling phones in India. The reason, well you have to experience it for yourself. For the record we compare it with another phone from Samsung, the Galaxy Ace just to give a glimpse of what a piece of marvel the Galaxy Y is. So here we go.

Judging by the looks, the Ace is a showstopper with net curves and lines bound to impress the most demanding of style geeks, but the Y is in altogether another dimension of cuteness which probably explains its large female fan following base.
The Galaxy Ace has a larger 3.5 inch full touch enabled screen in comparison to the 3.0 inch full touch screen display of the Galaxy Y. The Ace looks more muscular whereas the Y looks cuter. So it is indeed a war between the Beauty and the Beast.
Going in by the camera power, the Ace offers a more powerful 5 Mega Pixel Camera in comparison to the 2 Mega Pixel of the Y. Both offer Auto focus but lack a secondary front camera thereby eliminating Video Call functionality over 3G networks which can be quite disappointing. The Ace also has LED flash for better quality snaps.

On the entertainment and multimedia content support front, the phones have almost everything in common. Both offer playback of a larger number of media formats in both audio and video category including playback of HD content, though the Ace will be more suited for watching videos owing to its larger screen size. External media device connectivity is possible via a 3.5 mm audio jack available in both.
Both the Galaxy Ace and the Galaxy Y come with identical 800 MHz super fast processors that integrate well with the Android Gingerbread OS running in the phone to offer superlative performance standards and support for a wide variety of apps and games.
Of course you have java support available as well. Multi tasking and heavy duty graphic processing is made easier by the processors lying beneath the devices. What you get is a complete package in both the models with some premium features missing such as HD video recording.
Next comes the connectivity and internet options which is needless to say, is swelling in both the phones. You get the latest versions of USB and Bluetooth Connectivity in addition to Wi-Fi internet access and high speed 3G internet accesses. GPS and AGPS assistance is offered in both the models.
Now that the phones are almost level in features, it all boils down to the pricing and here is where the Galaxy Y will knock you off your feet. The Y with almost all features found in the Ace will cost you only around Rs 7500 whereas you could end up paying almost Rs 13500 on the Galaxy Ace.
So hope everyone understood what we meant in the beginning about the supremacy of the Galaxy Y.
