Design
- Measuring just a mere 273 x 48 x 34 mm when closed, the S1100 is very easy to carry around.
- Instead of being battery-powered, the S1100 relies on a single USB connection to a PC or a Mac, most probably a notebook, for both power and data.
- The scanner can be turned on by just pulling down the small flap located at the front. It also provides a ledge to feed paper or photos from. To the right side of the flap is an illuminated blue Scan/Stop button and to the left end is a single USB socket.
- Scanned items can be fed straight onto the desktop or can be directed vertically upwards by flipping the scanner’s top cover.
