Plantronics, the headset making company has launched a new pair of headsets in the Indian markets. These headsets are known as Backbeat GO and are especially developed in such a way through which the music enthusiasts can be targeted. The company has announced that it is expecting 10% of its revenue to be earned through this product.
Plantronics Backbeat GO is a wireless headset which weighs about 13 gm and is capable of offering a talk time of about 4.5 hours. What makes these headsets special is the fact that they come with noise reduction quality and have in built echo-cancellation features to avoid as much background noise as possible.
Plantronics have marked these pair of headsets at a price of Rs. 4990 for the Indian consumers and they plan to double their sales figures to 10000 in the coming 18 months after the launch. According to Bobby Joseph, the country manager for Plantronics, India, ‘the company will continue to operate in the mid-end and high-end price range, but our products will be aggressively priced in the category given the feature sets’.
Plantronics has 4000 outlets in India and it also sells its products through various retail stores like Croma and the Mobile Store.
