The much awaited and much talked about mirrorless camera from Canon has finally been unveiled. This camera is called Canon EOS-M. Canon, The Japanese camera manufacturer has finally chosen to dive into the Mirrorless camera segment through this product.
Canon EOS-M is a compact and slim cameras which doesnt really look like a Mirrorless camera on first sight. This device is packed with a 18 MP CMOS sensor which has been supported by a Digic 5 processor.
These two specifications make this camera quite similar in specs to the Canon 650D. EOS-M can be operated on modes like Manual, Av and TV and for these modes there in no dial feature which has been provided, instead there comes a multi touch touchscreen.
This Mirrorless camera comes with a lens mount adaptor which enables users to use the EF mount lenses with it. Canon has also launched 20 mm f/2.0 prime lens with the 18-55mm kit lens. This camera has been equipped with the latest STM motor and not the standard USM one.
About the availability, this camera shall be available from October onwards at $799 which is the price for the body and the kit lens. The pricing and availability in India is still held under wraps.
