People all across the globe are facing various health issues these days and one of the major concerns is skin cancer which is growing in the world. In order to make people aware about the problem and to help them diagnose the same, an application called UMSkinCheck is being designed. This latest app will be available for free of cost and will work with iPhone and iPad.
UMSkinCheck features actual photos and the users can then compare them with the unusual growth on their skin to diagnose the problem. So now sitting back at home, you can keep checking yourself for any symptoms of skin cancer.
There are series of 23 photos in the application which covers all the body parts from head to toe and these acts as a baseline for facilitating future comparisons and for self examining.
UMSkinCheck is designed in collaboration by the University of Michigan Medical School Technology and clinical expertise. If a person has a mole on body which is growing in size or is changing then its photo can be discussed with the doctor so as to ascertain if any biopsy is needed or not.
The application also creates a reminder to have a repeated self examination on the skin at a regular interval.
