Google has finally taken covers off the much awaited and anticipated new chat application. This new app is known as Hangouts. This is basically a chatting application which combines typed conversations and images, videos in a single app.

Google Hangouts is made available on iOS, Android and other web platforms like Chrome etc. In this application, users can chat like they do normally through text messaging and even share images as well as videos that are automatically stored in albums on Google+. Users can also chat with multiple users at the same time by opting for group chat. On Google Hangouts, users also get the option of saving and deleting conversations that they have had with their friends and family.

What is special about this latest messaging app is the fact that it combines and unifies all the Google’s existing messaging and chat services like Voice, Hangouts, Google+ and Google Talk. This means that Hangouts is an attempt of Google to start its own social networking service. This service from Google synchronizes all the chats from all the devices and also stops showing the notifications if you check them once on one of the devices.
