One of the most striking feature of this e-book reader is that instead of using the black and white e –ink display this gadget features colorful LCD display. Though there are only 4 buttons in GM200 but the device offers support to the pen writing feature which allows the user to take their notes on their eReader through handwriting.
The Gemei GM2000 will also be capable of playing videos as in PMP which is an added advantage. It is generally being considered that the color e-Book readers is not suitable for long time reading but this latest device is friendly with the electronic reading material’s of today that are not like the transitional physical books in black and white. Today, Fujitsu has launched its latest electronic paper based outpatient solution. This latest solution which is based on the wireless technology, IC Card and e paper technology will be used at the check in process at various medical facilities like in clinics and hospitals. The electronic card holders will be made utilizing the electronic paper and then with the help of a wireless communications system, these holders will be connected to the navigation system of the patient and to the electronic medical record system as well.
The IC equipped registration card will have to be simply inserted in the electronic card holder and then it will automatically link it to various facilities and record system and will complete the process of registration. This solution will provide the detailed guidance information to the electronic card holder of a patient from the time of their check in to doctor’s appointment till payment. With the help of these electronic card holders the outpatients in the queue who are waiting for their consultation will be notified through vibration and a visual display.

Gone are those days when people use to read books in hard copies. As more and more people are moving towards Soft copies of digital books there has been an increase in the demand of book readers. WISEreader N618 is one of the latest book reader launched from the Chinese company called Hanvon.
WISEreader N618 has a number of features like a Vizplex E-Ink Display, handwriting recognition software, Wi-Fi network for downloading eBooks, an electronic panel, an electronic pen and also an integrated music player. The device also has provision for memory expansion and also comes with rechargeable batteries.
As far as the specifications are concerned, WISEreader N618 has a 6” display screen, and uses a software called WinCE. It can support all kinds of documents and uses an electromagnetic pen as input device. The device somewhere around 250 grams and its measurement includes 176.6mm×124.8mm×10.5m. The price detail of this device is not yet known.

Acer has recently unveiled its first e-Book reader called LumiRead which will offer an excellent reading experience to the users. Clear.fi solution of Acer will be implemented into the DLNA complaint device which will allow to access the Acer clear.fi and share contents like audio books and ebooks across various compatible devices. Other features of LumiRead which makes it an impressive gadget include 6 inches of E-Ink display, 2GB of internal flash storage, QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, 3G and microSD card slot.
This ebook reader also has an in built ISBN scanner which allows the user to create their own wish list or make an online search for a certain book. Acer has already signed agreements with Barnes & Noble in US, Libri.de in Germany and the Founder in China to offer the localized contents in English, Chinese and German language. The Acer LumiRead will be available in the market from third quarter of this year but the price of the device is not yet revealed by the company.
