Today, Fujitsu has launched its latest electronic paper based outpatient solution. This latest solution which is based on the wireless technology, IC Card and e paper technology will be used at the check in process at various medical facilities like in clinics and hospitals. The electronic card holders will be made utilizing the electronic paper and then with the help of a wireless communications system, these holders will be connected to the navigation system of the patient and to the electronic medical record system as well.

The IC equipped registration card will have to be simply inserted in the electronic card holder and then it will automatically link it to various facilities and record system and will complete the process of registration. This solution will provide the detailed guidance information to the electronic card holder of a patient from the time of their check in to doctor’s appointment till payment. With the help of these electronic card holders the outpatients in the queue who are waiting for their consultation will be notified through vibration and a visual display.
