Google has been warned by China for breaching the laws of China over the issue of cyber security and censorship. The China’s Minister of Industry and Information Li Yizhong stated that if Google will stop censoring search results in the country they will have to bear with the consequences.
This year in mid January after the unspecified intellectual property from the internal system was pilferated by the alleged Chinese hackers, Google made an announcement that it will no more censor the search results in China.
On Friday at a Press Conference in Beijing Li said that he hopes that Google will respect the rules and regulations of China. The minister also stated that if the Google wish to continue its Chinese operation then they have to abide by the laws and respect the will of internet users. Li refused to comment on the talks if any, going on with Google and in the meantime Google is continuing to censor the search results at Google.cn.
